using finite element method to solve fluid-structural interaction problems

I am trying to dig a pit here for the folks to post new or their own thoughts about the methods and the problem to be solved or the future of the fluid-structural interaction problems.
I am working on the finite element method for both domains.

it's not trivial. are you talking about writing your code, or coupling existing fluid/structure codes?
