哈哈！斑竹都迷茫了。有模型试验做是你的财气，能静下心来稿计算是你的灵气。即干了必须干的事，又干了想干的事。哈哈！应该满足了。前途呀？前途最好也不过如此。

In my opinion, CFD is the key as a design tool, especially, optimisation seems getting a lot attention now, for example, there are a number interesting yet challenging areas:
(1)design optimisation using CFD
(2)flow-structure interaction
(3)parallel algorithms
etc.
It is certainly not trivial to set up a flow model correctly, and experiment will continue to play an important role, but many companiese see CFD as the key to improve design, and as a design tool, it needs not to be very accurate as long as it captures the phenomina correctly with engineering acceptable accuracy.
In terms of CFD itself, still a lot to do, like parallel algorithms, expecially, in a Grid environment.

another interesting topic is the correlation between experiment and computation, it certainly requires a sound framework, such as database, correlation methods, may be some knowledge technologies....

I think the ability to conduct free-surface CFD is the key tool to achieve your future goal, no matter for job and further study.
As songuk said, there are many stuffs still to be solved by our efforts.
And some applictions could be extended to ensure our abilities in other fields.
For example, the injet simulation (VOF), jet atomization etc.
Keep working on to reach our future.

不知道斑竹是那个学校的
以前我一直以为只有我们这个地方才有这个专业
我自己的感觉是我的水平很低
以前对老板抱有很大的希望，希望能从他那学到东西
现在才发觉那只是幻想，再后来发现他们也不搞研究了，都是做工程赚钱，ft！
现在想来无论是前途还是钱途，都要做到牛才行

但是最怕，不知道应该在什么方向牛，
很多人在某些方面牛，也许是机缘，也许巧合，
毕竟人的精力有限，而外部环境大家也不一样。
所以抓住眼前的机会，也许你就在这方面牛了。

我觉得这专业真不咋样，说真的，我们学校的、我所知道的包括清华的也都不是很好，当然这是和其他专业横向比较

我觉得我们自己编程模拟一些东西真的不合算，南京水科院，中国水科院都有fluent等大型商业软件，拿它作工程游刃有余。做科研还是多研究力学本质好些，有好的测量仪器，加上好的理论支持，再用商业软件验证，这样结合可能会更好些，否则自己算……等着掉头发吧！！呵呵，一家之言而已。

我也是学这个的。
但是我觉得不怎么样；
这东西只有那些所谓的“专家”才苦到钱
单位上象我们这些大学生做苦力的
苦不到几个钱
而且
能找的单位选择很少。

听起来前途一片渺茫啊……
明年就研究生毕业了，都不知哪里会是我的容身之处……
更惨的是我压根就不是学水力学的，是正儿八经流体力学专业的，搞到现在去做河流的数值模拟，要实验没实验，要软件没软件，只有一台128每天看得两眼发花……
也许我只能高唱 I can't get no satisfaction...

我也有同感,读到博士份上也不知道自己将来能否混口饭吃,家里的老婆、小孩还等我赚钱养家呢?想到这事就郁闷,原是学自然地理也是垃圾,没想到这玩意仍是垃圾中的垃圾.倒了八辈子霉.学着都没劲,毕业后还不知到哪里去呢?同仁有啥好消息别忘了咋们哦.
