This example presents a spring/mass-configuration, which is damped by the fluid viscosity. The spring (which presents the mass in this system) is slowly deflected. The spring oscillates with the representative natural frequency. The surrounding fluid damps the spring. Increasing the fluid velocity results in a higher damping.
