文摘 The spray-combustion flow of a side-dump ramjet combustor attached symmetrically to four inlets is analyzed numerically by using a modified KIVA-3 computer code. ^Numerical results obtained from the present study reveal that open circulating flows, exhibiting 3D structures, occur in the region between the jet-impingement point and the dome head, and pairing vortices appear in the surroundings of impinging jets. ^Injector positions are found to have strong effects on fuel distributions and flame structures, while effects of injection cant-angles on the flame structure are relatively limited. ^Injectors installed on the inlet-duct wall near the dome are responsible for the fuel distribution in the dome region, since the fuel penetration depth is short under the high-speed air stream in the inlet. ^Those on the opposite wall of inlet ducts, however, dominate the fuel distribution in the downstream region of the combustor. ^The flame structure is closely associated with the fuel distribution and the local stoichiometry. ^(Author)
